Miami Restaurants for Film Festival Group Meetings

by Knowing Fan

Groups wishing to discuss the Scream series over meals have a wide array of excellent Miami Beach restaurants to choose from during the Horror Festival due to Lincoln Road's central location. The following restaurants are being considered for group activities.

Brunch
660 at the Anglers is a boutique property in the heart of club land seems a tough proposition but Chef Giorgio Rapicavoli makes quick work of tender pastas & risottos, sweet tuna tiradito, and some pretty addictive Peking style duck wings that will make you forget about those utterly pedestrian Buffalo chicken wings forever. Hit the very adult Hangover Brunch featuring the infamous "Make Your Own Bloody Mary and Mimosa Bar" starting at 11am until 5pm! Entrees on Saturday and Sunday include fresh berry topped French toast, banana nutella pancakes, and steak and eggs with shallot home fries. Thursday nights at the Angler's are a big hit with locals who enjoy the $17.95 BBQ supper with a choice of tender ribs in a Dr. Pepper glaze, buttermilk fried chicken or spicy fried shrimp. Sides of bacon-rich baked beans, grilled corn on the cob and mac & cheese seal the deal for seekers of Summertime delights. 660 at the Anglers is located at 660 Washington Avenue.

Dinner
Soyka at 5556 NE 4 Court. Rumors that Joe Allen's chef decamped to Soyka make a brunch run ideal. Order the $30 unlimited mimosas and make a day of it with traditional egg dishes and all that extra vitamin C to help keep the doctor away!

Zuma located at 270 Biscayne Boulevard in the Epic Hotel already enjoys the high regard of local foodies for the sustainable seafood grilled up at Area 31, but the brand new Zuma Restaurant is the best new Japanese cuisine in town. Executive Chef Bjoern Weissgerber has worked at El Bulli and French Laundry before a stint at Zuma's London counterpart called Roka. Try this Izakaya style dining tonight.

Prime 112 which is so mellow at lunch, is a heavy hitting see and be scene dinner spot and is a welcome relief from the usual burger-serving tourist scene, with steaks and transcendental lobster bisque starting weekdays at noon. Share a jumbo lump crab cake appetizer, the Kobe beef sliders and the Maine lobster cobb salad.

La Marea at 1220 Ocean Drive, where you can experience the "Lazy Breakfast" menu which is served daily until 2pm for folks who need a little extra time to get things going in the morning. Chef Gonzalo Rivera invites you to dine on the patio starting with a nutritiously inspired cocktail, deviled eggs with smoked salmon and huevos rancheros on sweet potato tortillas with red and green sauce and cotija cheese.
